Simlab plugin for Modo, enables users to create 3D PDF files from inside Modo. Sharing models in 3D PDF format is very efficient and secure. The size of the file is smaller, it is not possible to modify the model in 3D PDF format, and viewing the 3D models inside PDF only requires the Free Acrobat reader, which is virtually available on every machine.


Supported platforms
The plug-in is supported on Modo 501, (32 and 64 bit), on Windows and Mac operating systems. The file recipient will need a free version of Acrobat reader 9.0 or later to open the 3D PDF file
How to use the plugin
Installing the plugins adds SimLab Plugin window to Modo, for Windows and Mac.

3D PDF settings can be accessed by clicking PDF Settings in the SimLab Plugin window. The user can customize the new 3D PDF with the different available tabs. After finishing click, Save current settings as default then click Close.

Now to export the 3D model into a 3D PDF file, click the PDF Export button. A Confirmation Request window will appear asking for your confirmation to save the model in Obj format, which is the file format used to read Modo files.

Click Save and the PDF Export window will open. Enter the file name, and click Save to create the 3D PDF file.
