SimLab DWF importer for SketchUp plugin enables SketchUp users to import DWF files into SketchUp, where they can be edited. DWF is a secure file format developed by Autodesk for the efficient distribution and communication of rich design data. DWF files are highly compressed; they are smaller and faster to transmit than design files, without the overhead associated with complex CAD drawings.
The plugin is supported on SketchUp 2016, SketchUp 2015, SketchUp 2014, SketchUp 2013, and SketchUp 8, on Windows.
After downloading the plugin, it automatically registers itself in SketchUp, and adds a new sub menu for the plugin, under the Plugins menu in SketchUp.
Importing models into SketchUp can be done with actual design dimensions, by unchecking the Auto scale Imported Model option in the Advanced Settings window. This window can be accessed by clicking the Settings option in the plugin sub-menu.
On the other hand, if a user needs to import a model to complete a scene, checking the Auto Scale Imported Model option will scale the model according to the scene's dimensions.
