SimLab Android / iPad exporter for SketchUp, enables SketchUp users to export SketchUp models in *.zim file format. These files are readable by the free application SimLab CAD Viewer for iPad / iPhone and Android.
The plugin is supported on SketchUp 2017, SketchUp 2016, SketchUp 2015, SketchUp 2014, SketchUp 2013, and SketchUp 8, on Windows and Mac.
SimLab Soft archive files include all the data needed for viewing the model ( geometries, colors, materials, textures, cameras, scene states, and animations). SimLab Soft archive files (*.zim) can be exported from SimLab Composer, or any of SimLab Android / iPad exporter plugins for, SketchUp, Alibre, 3ds Max, Maya, Revit, Solid Edge
,Modo, and PTC Creo.
After downloading the plugin, it automatically registers itself in SketchUp, and adds a new SimLab Android / iPad Exporter sub menu under the Plugins menu in SketchUp. The user will be able to
export models by clicking the menu Plugins -> SimLab Android / iPad Exporter-> Export.
The Export to Android / iPad window will open, select the name and location of the new Zim file, and click Save. This will create a SimLab Soft archive file (*.zim) that can be trasnfered to SimLab CAD Viewer
