SolidWorks importer for Autodesk Maya

Use SimLab’s plugin to import SolidWorks files in Autodesk Maya to utilize Maya’s power in creating high quality rendered images and animations.

How to use the plugin?

When installing the plugin, it automatically registers itself in Autodesk Maya, and adds the new top level menu Plugins. To import a SolidWorks file the user clicks on Plugins -> SolidWorks Importer -> Import

Permissive Plugin Licensing

SimLab Soft licenses the plug-in per user, which means that when you buy a single license, you will be eligible to obtain two activation codes to run the plugin on two different machines.

The price for an educational license is $30. To buy an educational license please click here.

Educational license is available for K-12, and university students / faculty, a proof of status or the use of a reputable (.edu) based email is needed to verify eligibility to obtain an educational license.

Supported platforms

The plugin is supported on 32 and 64 bit versions of Autodesk Maya 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Requesting a trial license

To request a trial license please do the following:
Plugins -> SketchUp importer -> Register -> request a trial license, fill the needed information and send the license request to license@simlab-soft.com.
SimLab Soft will send you a trial license to verify that the plugin fits your need.
